World Cup Poster
Tri. Dva. Jedan. (Three. Two. One.)

The World Cup in Qatar was a unique opportunity for me to design a poster that celebrates Croatian pride and reflects the host country's architecture and street art scene. The focus was on two iconic Croatian players, Davor Šuker and Zvonimir Boban, who were symbols of Croatian football and culture.

The poster design combines the modern architecture of Qatar with elements of Croatian street art, creating a visually exciting and culturally relevant piece. I incorporated a combination of arches that are popular in both regions, while also drawing on the vibrant street art scene of Croatia.

The portraits of Šuker and Boban were illustrated in a stylized, street art-inspired manner, with bold lines and vivid colors. Although the original and iconic photo of Šuker and Boban shows them holding up a peace sign, I edited the image so the two players are depicted holding up the number one. The poster design was completed with bold, bright black letter type (a font historically used in the region) and Croatian flag colors to add an extra pop of pride and excitement.

The finished poster was well received by fans and audiences, as it successfully showcased Croatian football and culture in a modern and visually engaging manner, tying in the architecture and street art of Qatar to create a truly unique and memorable piece.
